Daily COIVD-19 update: St. Louis County sees 2 new cases

The Minnesota Department of Health reported two new cases of COVID-19 in St. Louis County on Monday.

Statewide, 315 new cases were reported with only two in the Northland. Ten more people with COVID-19 have died; none of them residents of Northeastern Minnesota.

The new cases were among 7,522‬ more completed diagnostic tests.

The number of Minnesotans with COVID-19 hospitalized in an intensive care unit has dropped by three to 140. The last time the number of ICU patients was that low was May 2. The number of people hospitalized outside of an ICU setting dropped by seven to 138, the lowest that number has been since April 22.

Statewide, the age group with the highest number of positive cases reported Monday was 20-29. Those 0-19 years old accounted for 61 positive cases.

Also on Monday, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 315 new cases. The positive cases were among 5,912 newly completed diagnostic tests. The state reported no new deaths.

None of the new cases were located in Douglas, Ashland or Bayfield counties.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons is reporting one confirmed case of COVID-19 at the Duluth Federal Prison Camp. The case was confirmed June 18. No new cases have been confirmed as of Monday.
